Who we are

The NSC-Reconstruct consortium represents a joint European effort of leading teams and builds on the effective and dynamic collaborative networks created and on the advances made in previous FP7 EU funded projects, such as NeuroStemcell, NeuroStemcellRepair, Repair-HD and TransEuro.

Partners in this consortium have pioneered work in neural regenerative therapy and in generating specific human neurons and glial cells through direct reprogramming and human stem cell differentiation.
The academic teams assembled in this project contribute expertise in neurodegeneration, stem cell biology, glial biology, genomic technologies, brain connectomics, circuitry reconstruction, advanced imaging and pre-clinical in vivo models. In addition, partners from the commercial sector contribute their experience in translational research and development of products for the market, thus being instrumental for the commercial and regulatory development of cell products, scaling up and introduction of such therapies for routine clinical use.

The Consortium will engage a total of more than 80 scientists that will work collectively to address the specific challenges of the EU call H2020-SC1-BHC-09-2018 aimed at supporting new insights and new application in regenerative medicine.
